🥋 Sunday Service with the Boys — Staines Judo Club Hits the Mat!
This weekend marked a huge milestone for our young judoka at Staines Judo Club, as we proudly entered our first British Judo Association (BJA) tournament. Held at Bishop’s Stortford Judo Club, the event brought together clubs from across the region — and our boys showed up with heart, hustle, and heaps of team spirit.
For many of our children’s judo class members, this was their first taste of competitive judo. Just stepping onto the mat was a massive achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of their courage, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Coach Aaron might’ve been more nervous than the kids — but once the matches began, it was clear that all the hard work in our Sunday judo sessions in Staines had paid off. The boys supported each other brilliantly, cheered from the sidelines, and showed exactly what makes our club special: respect, resilience, and camaraderie.
